2027 CAP Camp Kitchen Manager
Position Summary:
The Camp Kitchen Manager is responsible for preparing and serving three daily meals for approximately 100 campers and staff, including meals for cookouts, while maintaining a clean kitchen. This role also oversees menu planning, food ordering, and food preparation.
Room and board are provided for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities:
Prepares and serves healthy, well-rounded meals on time, three times daily, for up to 100 campers and staff
Supervises kitchen staff, including volunteers and camp staff assigned to kitchen duties
Ensures all food preparation procedures meet or exceed applicable health code requirements
Maintains a clean kitchen in accordance with camp management and health department standards
Ensures all dishes are properly washed, dried, and stored after every meal
Completes daily sanitation practices, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
Performs other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements
Must be at least 18-years of age
Understanding of camp hours and the responsibilities of camp administrative staff
Must feel comfortable living in a rustic camp environment with limited access to cell phone service and internet
Demonstrates strong independent judgment while proactively seeking guidance when appropriate
Experience in food service -- such as ordering, inventory, budgeting, food preparation, and use of commercial kitchen equipment
Experience with the Girl Scout program, preferred.

ServSafe Food Manager Certification
Food Handlers Certification
ServSafe Allergens Module, preferred
