Position Title: Lifeguard
Location: Camp Alice Pittenger- McCall, ID
Salary Range: $75, $100 One time bonus paid to lifeguards with current certification
Dates: June 18th to August 10th, 2024
Position Summary:
The best, most fun, challenging job you will ever love. As the Lifeguard, you will plan, implement, and lead the camp’s waterfront program for all campers incorporating Girl Scout badgework and weekly camp themes.
This position includes room and board for the length of employment.

Responsibilities:
Plan, design and lead the camp’s water-based program for all campers incorporating Girl Scout badgework and the weekly theme.
Lifeguard the swim or boating area up to four times a day for different groups of campers ranging in age from 8 to 17.
Assist in training other camp staff in how to operate a safe waterfront experience.
Conduct swim checks for all campers.
As a member of the camp program team, assist in planning and leading all-camp events including campfires, large group games, and themed meals.
Organize and inventory the waterfront supplies.
Live with Camp Counselors in a unit of up to 16 campers. Assist Camp Counselors with camper supervision and leading activities.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with families and visitors.
Complete daily sanitation practices including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces.
Help as needed in the kitchen with dishes, cleaning, serving meals and meal prep.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills/ Qualifications:
Must be at least 17 years old.
A valid lifeguarding certification from a nationally recognized organization. Must have experience lifeguarding.
A lifeguarding certification with a waterfront endorsement in preferred.
First Aid and CPR certifications.
Must feel comfortable living in a rustic camp environment with limited access to cell phone service and internet.
Must have experience working with children.
